Being on a Marketing with Events Management course, I am always willing to put myself forward for specific events as a volunteer. So as soon as I heard about the Trunk Event at Harvey Nichols, I was certainly sure that I wanted to volunteer and show my full potential.
In October, Harvey Nichols held their seasonal autumn and winter Trunk Show, at the Harvey Nichols store in Mailbox, Birmingham UK. They showcased clothing, shoes and accessories, from men's Louboutin shoes to women's Balmain jackets. Some of the most stunning pieces of clothing from the Harvey Nichols shop floor, were placed in personal shopping and style concierge, where the models had a chance to witness what they were going to show-off to the guests.
The day consisted of two shows, one which was presented in the early afternoon and one in the evening. The shows invited guests to have a sit down lunch/dinner and watch the remarkable trunk show. Both shows were amazingly run and supported, by the great event organisers, the Harvey Nichols staff and not forgetting the inspiring, beautiful and handsome models.
Each model had five individual looks within the following themes, Midas touch, Are you furreal?, Autumn Burnout, Berry Bright and Vintage Vamps. Each theme, brought the audience to an outburst of applause. Which eventually led them to an idea of the items which they were willing to purchase from the night.
A talented violinist was placed near the Harvey Nichols bar area, where he performed some beautiful musical notes throughout the whole day, including when the models advertised the designer clothing pieces down the walkway.
Throughout the whole event, Nars makeup artists and James Bushell hairstylists all located within the Harvey Nichols store, were on hand to glam up the models between looks. Playing a big part in the whole day, all artists made each model stand out and catch everyone's eye, as they walked through the Harvey Nichols restaurant, during the glamorous 2016 event. As guests sat comfortably, enjoying the meal and show they were given a gift from the Harvey Nichols team, which was included in their ticket.
Believably, overall the entire Trunk Show was an amazing and enjoyable experience for everybody. It was full of laughs and smiles coming from every single person on site. Even though some of the models had their sassy side and would disappear then be found having personal beauty treatments, little situations like this still made the day more fun.
Talk to you soon...
